The Environmental Governance Institute (EGI) is legally registered as a not-for-profit organization in Buea-Cameroon. We are committed to reforming environmental governance and fostering access to resources in Central and West Africa.
Mission: We carry out a range of activities that enable people to determine how resources and the benefits resulting from those resources are distributed in a manner that fosters social and economic development, without compromising environmental sustainability.
Vision: We envision a world where everyone has equitable access to natural resources and their benefits; a world where everyone is able to use these resources sustainably to foster social and economic development.
